BACP Registered Counsellor In Clapham

Hello, I am Eleonora, a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) with a BSc in Person-Centred Pluralistic counselling and a diploma in facilitating online and phone therapy.

Before training as a counsellor, I studied art and worked extensively in the hospitality sector. These two worlds have shaped my understanding of relationships, boundaries and care as well as self-expression, resilience and play. Bringing together the skills and insights of these different environments, becoming a therapist felt like a natural progression.

Counsellor in Clapham South West London

During my training as an artist, I became familiar with both the struggle and joy of creating something that was not yet fully expressed. In many ways, I see the therapeutic process as similar: a collaborative exploration where new understanding, growth, and possibilities can emerge. What I find most fulfilling in my practice is to witness clients making sense of their experience, connect with their authentic selves, and move towards greater self-awareness and acceptance.

My Practice

At the heart of my practice is the therapeutic relationship itself: a space where you can feel heard, understood, and nurture a stronger connection to yourself and others. I recognise that each person is unique and I approach our work together with curiosity, respect, and care. I am originally from Italy so I can offer counselling both in English and Italian. Having lived between two cultures, I have developed a deep appreciation for the ways identity and belonging can impact our lives and relationships.

My Approach

My approach is collaborative and non-directive, which means I do not interfere with the content of our sessions but rather work alongside you in exploring thoughts, feelings and experiences in a way that feels manageable and meaningful to you. Together, we can develop a deeper understanding of the patterns, beliefs, and ways of relating that may be influencing your wellbeing, while also recognising your strengths, resilience, and capacity for change.

Working Creatively

Creativity also plays a role in my practice. At times, talking alone may not fully capture our experiences, emotions, or inner world. Where appropriate, I may draw on images, metaphors, stories, or other creative and reflective approaches to help deepen understanding and access feelings that can be difficult to express. These methods are always offered gently and collaboratively, with no expectation that you engage in them unless they feel helpful to you.

Issues I have experience working with

People come to me for help with a wide range of issues. Here are a few of the more common difficulties that can be supported through therapy:

Depression

Difficulties with self-esteem and self-image

Challenges relating to identity, purpose, and belonging
